Abstract:
This communication will address the topic of the next generation networks focusing on hot research topics as follows: e-Health Applications & Ambient Assisted Living; Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing; Wireless sensor networks & Body sensor networks; Vehicular Delay-Tolerant Networks (VDTNs); and Mobile and Cloud Computing. For each presented topic, a brief overview is considered and examples of projects where the research group participates are considered. Furthermore, research challenges and opportunities and are presented and discussed.
